“All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.”
We all know it, so a site I love to go to for some “light entertainment”, is ArmorGames.com.
I’m not a big fan of all their games, but from time to time I find one that’s either fun, good braintrain or simply a more fun way of nervewrecking myself :p
Pretty much all games are Flash Player games, so make sure you’re up to date with that! Some games are operated by the arrow keys, some by your mouse, but here and there there’s also WASD games, which are a pain for European keyboards!
Specific platform games with multiple levels sometimes also track your progress, unless you clean out your cookies. Today, I’m gonna suggest: Cosmico.
The game is easy to play, and comes with a small storyline, one that’s very emo and can make it hard for sentimental softies (like me) cuz I can guarantee they’ll play each level with teary eyes!
It’s not a game that will keep you busy for long (only 3 levels that take about 2 or 3 minutes each), but that’s not bad cuz it is a bit childs play.
Still, just enjoy the music, and feel free to sob over the story.
You’re this tiny and cute looking, but *cries* dying robot. Warning signals keep popping up on your visor sent by your inner power core, and you’re questioning yourself about what you’ve missed out on in life, after years of doing nothing but the thing you were designed to do.
You get your final “Grand Mission” by none other then Earth itself, for it is the dream of planets to one day form constellations of stars. And as you accept this noble mission and fly off into the aether, you know the song of your heart is starting it’s final act.
If that didn’t make you teary eyed already, boy you’re a harder nut then I am to crack! Each of the 3 levels comes with similar stories like the one above, the music played in the background has some sadness in it too, which only adds to the amount of sobbing!
All you have to do is connect planets into constellations by clicking on 1 and chaining it to as many others as possible. The more stars you can chain into 1 constellation, the more points. Don’t worry about starts going off-screen, they’ll still be included in the chain.
However, do keep in mind to let go of your mouse button again before your power gets drained too much or the chain of the constellation you were working on will break (but don’t worry, your power level gets regenerated quickly soon as you’ve made a constellation, and then you’re ready for the next constellation, etc…).
The speed increases during the levels, and thanks to whatever the sentiment of the stories causes for you, it’s not always as easy to make the target Star Scores.
Oh and I’m sure you’ll be surprised by the twist in the ending of the story when it pops onto your screen!
